Between classes, friends, & online social media, students have many competing interests throughout the day.

To aid our students in remaining focused and productive,

Elevation Academy is limiting student use of mobile devices during the school day.

‘MOBILE DEVICE’ includes any non-medical handheld digital technology, including cell phones, tablets, handheld gaming, smart watches, etc.

• Students in grades 1-7 are prohibited from bringing mobile devices to school.

If these devices are discovered by staff, they will be confiscated.

• Students in grades 8-12 may bring their mobile devices to school with parent permission.

Grades 8-12 may keep their cell phones/tablets in their lockers at their own risk,

though it is recommended that they are left at home.

While class is in session, the teacher may collect all students’ cell phones/tablets for specific lessons/tests.

Students are expected to comply with this request. If a student is unwilling, a call home and/or dismissal

for the remainder of the day will be at the teacher’s discretion.
